Protesters plan to occupy London Stock Exchange

The Occupy Wall Street protests are spreading to other American cities, including Chicago and Los Angeles. And according to the Telegraph, a group of protesters are organising an occupation of the London Stock Exchange to bring attention to what they see as unethical behaviour on the part of banks, following a similar demonstration on Wall Street.

From the Facebook event page:

“The beauty of this new formula, and what makes this novel tactic exciting, is its pragmatic simplicity: we talk to each other in various physical gatherings and virtual people’s assemblies … we zero in on what our one demand will be, a demand that awakens the imagination and, if achieved, would propel us toward the radical democracy of the future … and then we go out and seize a square of singular symbolic significance and put our asses on the line to make it happen…”

The one demand that can awaken the imagination, and if achieved, would propel us toward the radical democracy of the future, is this: Proclaim a Jubilee. For you, for me, for the entire world economy. That means to cancel unjust debt and bring the banks back under the rule of law.

Why OccupyWallStreet? Because we all know we are being robbed

Why #OccupyWallStreet? Because we all know we are being robbed by the banks

While the M$M media is clearly engaged in a blackout of the real news because it is harmful to their corporate overloads and while they continue to spread lies and disinformation about why people are protesting, every single American knows the the truth.

FireDogLake founder, Jane Hamsher, eloquently sums up the reasons for the anger of the 99%: “It’s not hard to figure out. We all know we’re robbed by the banks”Russia Today reports on the ongoing corporate media blackout and the use of force by police against non-violent protestors trying to end Wall Street’s economic injustice.
